I’ve been curious about what it takes to turn a passion for dirt biking into a small business, especially something like a training facility or bike rental service. Between purchasing bikes, maintaining equipment, providing proper safety gear, and finding a suitable riding area, the initial costs could add up pretty quickly.

For someone planning to start or expand this type of business, would you recommend starting small and reinvesting profits, or looking into outside financing? I recently came across the term Private Capital Advisory while researching funding options for businesses, and I’m interested in whether this type of guidance is useful for a project like this.

I’d be interested to hear from anyone who has started a riding-related business. What were your biggest upfront expenses, and what would you do differently if you were starting again?
